Bringing Fair Trade Closer to Everyday Life

The Ethical Model Association held a Fair Trade Summer Evening in collaboration with the Asakusa Ethical Project and Ethical-ya.

Timed with Fair Trade Month in May, the Instagram Live broadcast partnered with Fairtrade Label Japan's Million Action Campaign 2025 under the theme ‘Bringing fair trade closer to everyday life.’

The broadcast came from Sumida Park, also a base for the Asakusa Ethical Project, with participants wearing fair trade yukata made from African fabrics.

Beginning with the simple question ‘What is fair trade?’, participants learned and reflected together through the perspectives of clothing, food, and daily living.

The program introduced fair trade yukata brand Chérie COCO, offered a primer from Tetsuji Inaba of Ethical-ya, and presented fair trade food and drinks—creating an invitation to bring ethical choices into everyday life.
